Fragrances

With the launch of his first eau de parfum, Baila, which he created himself, Ricardo Sibelo fulfilled a long-cherished wish. It symbolizes his life motto “Dancing is Life”.

Ricardo Sibelo certainly did not go overnight. “It has been a process of years to develop a unique fragrance that can compete with the famous perfume houses such as Chanel, Dior, Estee Lauder” confesses Ricardo.

Already at the age of 16 he experimented with mixing scents in chemistry class at the HBS. In the years that followed, he developed himself as an actor, dancer and choreographer, building up a successful existence, which resulted in his own dance studio in 1999. Nevertheless, he continued to experiment with developing fragrances over the years. There is hardly a scent that he does not know or of which he cannot analyze the composition.

In 1995 he was about to release his first perfume, but his perfectionism prevented him from taking this step. “I was so impressed with Organza by Givenchy that I decided to start from scratch.” The competition within the perfume houses is fierce and in principle every fragrance has already been made once. “That’s why I decided to design an eau de parfum that is more intense than eau de toilette because of the higher concentration.”

His perfume symbolizes his life motto: “Dancing is Life”. Hence the apt name of his first fragrance, Baila, which is the Spanish word for “dance”.

Baila Eau de Parfum

Baila Eau de Parfum by Ricardo Sibelo represents the passion, the passion and the sensuality of the woman who goes through life dancing. The top notes are peach, orange, lime and strawberry. The heart is made up of flowers, including tuberose, mimosa and rose. Woods and musk emphasize the sensuality in the end notes.

As impressive as the scent is the design of the bottle. For this, Ricardo was inspired by the spitz, the shoe on which the ballerina dances and balances on her toes. “I designed the bottle myself and it is made by the manufacturer where the most famous perfume houses have their bottles made.”
